My good friend Stephanie Van den Bergh came to visit the other day and as I had borrowed an Arrilite 800w 3 head light kit, I couldn’t resist but try out some Film Noir style boudoir photography with my Fuji X pro 1 ….
As my bedroom is pretty small I only needed two light heads but without a dimmer switch and at 800w each I had to rely on the walls to bounce the light as I wanted to shoot with a wide aperture I hardly ever directed the light directly at Stephanie. I also used my mirror and a crystal lamp shade to create an interesting lighting effect…

One light pointed directly at the Crystal Lamp Shade, second light (with barn doors closed) to the right of the model
ISO 250 35mm ƒ/1.4 1/250 sec
One light head is used behind and to the right of the model and bounced by the mirror creating a interesting dappled effect
